Concept:Cupping
Taste Coffee Like The Pros In This Sensory Workshop
Class Description
Concept:Tasting Learn to taste coffee like a pro, through the practice of cupping. Duration: 1.5 hours | Beginner-friendly, sensory-focused Coffee isn’t just “strong” or “bitter.” It can be floral, fruity, earthy, tea-like—and so much more. Concept:Tasting is your introduction to cupping: the professional method used to evaluate coffee around the world. In this hands-on, sensory-led workshop, we’ll explore how to break down what you taste and why you’re tasting it. You’ll learn: What cupping is—and how it’s used in sourcing, roasting, and quality control How to set up and participate in a proper cupping session What to look for in coffee: aroma, acidity, body, balance, aftertaste How processing, origin, and roast affect flavor How to describe flavor clearly (without sounding like a snob) You’ll cup 4–5 coffees side-by-side, build your palate, and come away with a new language—and confidence—for talking about what’s in your cup. Whether you’re just curious or already deep in your coffee journey, this workshop will shift how you experience every cup moving forward. Because tasting isn’t just preference—it’s perception. And that’s a concept.
